"Hell-ivator"

Films: The Lift (1983)

Alias: None

Type: Man-Made

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average elevator.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Yes. There is a killer elevator movie. We get it, some people have anxieties about these things. But was it really necessary to make a whole movie about it?!

History: Long ago, some idiot made a techo-organic "heart" for an elevator. That's the cliffnotes version of it, but do we really need to go any further? All because of a freak storm, this thing goes homicidal, and anyone dumb or ignorant enough to go near it dies one way or another.

Notable Kills: Death by malevolent elevator. Hanging, decapitation, whatever it feels like. Just...sigh...

Final Fate: Although attempts are made to destroy its heart, the lift still persists, and awaits new victims. But by that point, everyone probably just started taking the stairs or literally any other elevator in the building.

Powers/Abilities: Anything connected to the elevator is its weapon, such as itself or the cables around it.

Weakness: Destroy the heart.

Scariness Factor: 2-We'll give it some credit for its creativity, but in the end, it's still a goddamn immobile elevator. By the end of the movie, its raised enough red flags to ensure no one ever goes near it again.

Trivia: -According to director Dick Maas, few of the actors actually knew what the film was about until it was done. Presumably, they would have bailed if they knew just how silly everything actually was.

-The office building that this film takes place in is a real building in the Netherlands known as Kronenstede. It is mostly a software firm.

That corpse likely doesn't want this girl to comment on how he died. Who would?

Even the film knows the failure of this monster.

Long way down, eh? Just like this film's fall from grace.

Without context, I can't help but laugh at how he came to such a fate.

Don't you dare do that head thing with her! It's not worth the attention you'll get.
